Twenty seven years in the oil and gas industry, including twelve in commercial roles.
Employed by BP from 1981 to 2008 in a variety of engineering and commercial roles, with experience spanning the oil/gas field life cycle from appraisal to decommissioning, operated/non-operated producing assets and infrastructure business.
Formed A S Bond Consulting Ltd in 2008 to provide commercial consultancy and personal coaching services and joined Fabian Ltd as a consultant in 2009.
Significant work undertaken in the last 10 years includes:
- Management of joint venture commercial operations, including negotiation and amendment of JOAs, TPAs, ESAs, SPAs, pipeline crossing/proximity agreements, COP and decommissioning submissions.
- Preparation of asset strategies, business plans, budgets, investment business cases, performance contracts and development of performance improvement measures.
- Creation of a business model and organisation to manage late life & decommissioning assets.
- Negotiation of a multi-venture cost & services sharing agreement to reduce seismic survey costs.
- Negotiation of an out of court settlement of a long-running gas sales commercial dispute.
- Mentoring and career development coaching of colleagues in commercial and technical disciplines, leadership of technical and competency recruitment interviews.
