Thirty years experience in the oil industry, the first fourteen of which were with Thomson North Sea Ltd, an independent North Sea producer which sold to Lasmo in 1989. In this time, some six years were spent in finance and treasury, the remainder in a supply/trading role, being manager of that department when Lasmo acquired the company.
After a short time with Lasmo and a year's sabbatical, worked as a commercial consultant with Ranger Oil from 1991 to 1997. Joined Fabian Ltd in 1997 with whom have undertaken commercial consultancy for Shell, Cieco and ExxonMobil.
Significant work undertaken in the last 10 years includes:
- Commercial negotiator for Bittern Field and Trident FPS operating agreements.
- Management representative for Brent and Flotta Ninian pipeline and Sullom Voe Terminal systems including the Post 2000 commercial arrangements.
- Joint venture commercial management
- Commercial negotiation for offshore satellite developments involving oil and gas processing and transportation and hydrocarbons allocation and valuation, pipeline crossings, JOA's, onshore and offshore offtake procedures, and oil and gas sales
